Echols Building | Architecture
Historic Staunton, Virginia
Any local Staunton passerby drives by this building probably at least a few times a week...but have you ever wondered what was inside? We got to explore this incredible building for our friend, Lynn Herman, at Boutique Real Estate. This building according to Lynn was built in the early 1900's and has the character and charm to match! Throughout the years, this building has been quite a few things...it has over 8,000 sqft of rooms to fill with whatever your heart desires. This property sits on Lawyers Row and right next to the historic courthouse building. For most of its life, it was home to many lawyers offices, and office spaces, and was most recently a "Crack the Code" escape room.
More from Lynn:
"Distinguished architect and Staunton Native, T.J. Collins’ ECHOLS Building is waiting for revival. Sitting adjacent to the Augusta County Courthouse, this gorgeous HISTORIC structure - circa 1903, boasts ample space for a boutique hotel, various business offices, or a creative endeavor for the entrepreneur. The possibilities are endless with the right imagination and appreciation for the character and charm of street corner presence."
It is now ready for new owners to make it into something so exciting and special! It sits in the heart of Staunton and has insurmountable potential! Our favorite parts of this property were the SUPER HIGH ceilings...it seems like at least 12 feet tall, floor to ceiling windows, original hardwoods begging to be exposed, gorgeous trim and woodwork including the original staircase winding throughout the three main floors...and so much more!!
